Tom Cleveland was an exceptional athlete throughout his swimming career. As a sophomore, he earned his selection to the All-Area Team, the All SCC Team as well as being named All-State. He continued earning these same three honors throughout his junior and senior years, He established a new school record in the 50-yard freestyle, placed second in the 100-yard freestyle and swam toward the top spot on the Branford High School record board in the 200 yare medley and 200 free relay, all aiding in his All-SCC selection in his senior year.
